My New House is seeking compassionate and dedicated volunteers to support our Intake and Case Management team. Volunteers will help connect individuals and families in need with essential resources, including low-income housing applications, utility bill assistance, government cash aid, home food deliveries, and free transportation to appointments. This role is ideal for those passionate about serving vulnerable communities and ensuring families receive the support and stability they deserve.

The Case Management Follow-Up Assistant is essential in supporting client well-being by conducting follow-up calls, emails, or texts to confirm individuals and families are connected to needed services and referrals. The Admissions Administrator plays a key role in ensuring the smooth flow of My New House’s case management operations. This volunteer works behind the scenes to process incoming cases, allocate them to the correct programs or case managers, and maintain accurate records in the organization’s database. This role is non-client facing and focuses on internal processes that keep our housing, transportation, and support services running efficiently.

My New House is looking for a compassionate, detail-oriented volunteer to support case managers with completing housing applications for individuals and families experiencing homelessness or at risk of eviction. This role is essential in ensuring applications are accurate, complete, and submitted on time, giving vulnerable community members a greater chance at securing safe, stable housing and building a foundation for long-term stability and hope.

The Data Entry & Billing Assistant helps us maintain accurate records for Housing and Case Management services by supporting billing submissions to Medi-Cal. This volunteer inputs, updates, and organizes service records to ensure compliance and accuracy. The role is well-suited for detail-oriented individuals interested in healthcare billing, nonprofit operations, and data systems, providing valuable behind-the-scenes support that strengthens program sustainability and funding opportunities.

The Grants Seeker helps My New House identify funding opportunities that support our mission of serving vulnerable individuals and families. This role is essential for sustaining and growing housing, food, transportation, and case management programs. The volunteer will research available grants, track deadlines, maintain a database of opportunities, and prepare concise summaries for leadership review, ensuring My New House can access resources to strengthen community impact.

Inventory Entry
The Inventory Entry Volunteer supports My New House’s thrift shop by documenting donated items and preparing them for sale. Responsibilities include logging items, noting unique characteristics, researching fair pricing, and organizing/editing photos using tools like Canva or Photoshop. Completed inventory and photos are passed to the data entry volunteer for system input. This role blends organization and creativity to ensure items are accurately presented and effectively support fundraising.

The Holiday Donations Outreach Volunteer helps My New House bring hope and support to families during the holiday season. This role involves contacting local businesses, organizations, and community partners by phone, email, mail, or in person to request donations of toys, clothes, shoes, food, and essentials. Using a donor list provided by My New House, the volunteer secures contributions that directly benefit children, families, and individuals in need.
